Main Focus

The major area of interest is the Classic Maya culture. Epigraphic interests primarily in historiographic aspects and systems of political and territorial organization, as well as typological investigations of the writing system. Linguistic points of focus on comparative and quantitative methods in Classic Mayan historical linguistics, particularly in the areas of phonology and morphology.
